FAQ
A few more little questions you may have about our big day!
Are my kids invited?
We want you to have a good time, so if that means they come with you, then sure! There’s no guarantee of highchairs from the venue so keep that in mind. Just let us know how old they are so we can give the venue a proper headcount for seating.
Is there a room block?
Yes! You need to call the Lodge for this (sorry millenials) since it can’t be claimed online. You can get up to two nights at a discounted rate.
It’s so expensive!
That’s not a question! But yes, we understand the lodge can be a bit pricey. There are other hotel options close by (check out the Lakeview Inn & Cabins!) if you don’t mind the drive. We expect the bridal party to stay on-site, but there’s no obligation for any of our other guests. Just note that there is no room block at other hotels. Whatever you choose, we love and appreciate you for coming! (We still love and appreciate you if you can’t make it)
What should I wear?
You don’t need a tux, but get fancy! Semi-formal attire (no jeans). Bridal party colors are burgundy and navy blue, so avoid those! (Also don’t wear white…)
What’s the deal with the rehearsal dinner?
Unfortunately, since everybody is coming from “out of town”, we can only party with all of you on the one day. So if you don’t hear from us about it, please enjoy the on-site restaurant and bar, or any of the charming local establishments in town.
Ok, but the food?
Cocktail hour will be your typical passed appetizers and some stations.
Dinner will be buffet-style with plenty of options. If you have any dietary restrictions that prevent you from having a satisfying meal, please let the staff know and they will make sure you are taken care of.
Oh, and there’s an open bar all night.
